Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) had started the application process for recruitment to 143 posts of Lab Assistant, the last date of which is now near. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website bssc.bihar.gov.in till 15 May 2025. Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination.
Total number of posts : - A total of 143 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. These include 56 posts for General Category (UR), 14 posts for EWS, 18 posts for Backward Classes (BC), 27 posts for Extremely Backward Classes (EBC), 5 posts for BC Women, 22 posts for Scheduled Castes and 1 post for Scheduled Tribes.

Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) with Science stream from a recognized board of India. For detailed information, read the official notification.
The minimum age limit in this recruitment has been fixed at 18 years. The maximum age limit for male candidates is 37 years, while for female candidates it is 40 years.

Minimum Qualifying Marks : - Talking about qualifying marks, the minimum qualifying percentage has been fixed differently for different categories in BSSC Lab Assistant Recruitment. 40% marks are the minimum required for the unreserved category. For backward class candidates, this limit has been fixed at 36.5%, while for both extremely backward class and Scheduled Caste / Tribe, this standard has been kept at 34%. Some relaxation has been given to female candidates and candidates belonging to the handicapped category and the minimum qualifying marks for them has been fixed at 32%.
