This letter gave the murderer an identity and he got the name Jack the Ripper.
Serial killer Jack the Ripper killed girls five times and he killed all of them in a special way. The neck of all was slit with a sharp weapon and their bodies were brutally mutilated. He made his first victim on 31 August 1888. He brutally murdered Mary Ann Nicholas. After this murder, a letter of the serial killer was published in a London newspaper in which he told about this murder. Along with this, he had also talked about committing more murders.

After more than 100 years, scientists have claimed that they have revealed the murders on the basis of DNA matching. DNA was taken from the shawls found near the five victims killed by the serial killer. This DNA has been matched with a 23-year-old barber named Aaron Kosminski. Scientists had claimed a few years ago that this DNA matches Aaron's DNA completely. Scientists say that the killer had brown hair and brown eyes. They say that we have evidence that matches the killer.
