Exploring the Mysteries of Mars: The Red Planet Revealed

The world of planets is full of mystery, which is difficult to understand even for scientists. However, in the present time science has progressed so much that we definitely have some information about all the planets present in our solar system. Today we will tell you about Mars, which is also known as the Red Planet. Mars appears red. Although Mars is also a terrestrial planet like Earth, where there are volcanoes, valleys, deserts and polar icy peaks, but it is impossible for humans to live on this planet. Let us know some special and interesting things about this planet, knowing about which you will be surprised.

Earth completes one revolution around the Sun in 365 days and six hours, while Mars takes 687 days to complete a complete revolution around the Sun. This is almost double the time compared to Earth. Therefore, a year on Mars is of 687 days.

The biting cold and dust storms on Mars are much more than on Earth. In summers, the temperature here remains around 30 degrees Celsius, but in winters it drops below zero to -140 degrees Celsius. In such cold, a human being will freeze and turn into stone.

There is one thing on Mars that is very similar to Earth. Like Earth, Mars also has four seasons in a year - autumn, summer, fall and winter. However, each season on Mars lasts almost twice as long as on Earth.

The gravitational force on Earth and Mars is different. Because of this, if a person's weight on Earth is 100 pounds, then after going to Mars his weight will become 38 pounds.

While the Earth has only one moon, Mars has two moons, named Phobos and Deimos. The diameter of Phobos is 13.8 miles while the diameter of Deimos is 7.8 miles.

There is one more thing on Mars which is similar to Earth. Actually, both Earth and Mars are made up of four layers. The first is the crust, which is made up of iron-containing basaltic rocks and the second is the mantle which is made up of silicate rocks. The third and fourth layers are the outer core and inner core, which are believed to be made up of iron and nickel just like the Earth's core.

Earth and Mars come closest to each other in about two years. During this time, Mars can be seen from Earth with naked eyes. According to NASA, Mars will come closest to Earth on October 13, 2020. Now it is believed that both will come closest to each other in December 2022.
