The Indian Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the application process for 9970 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts till May 19. The application fee can be paid till May 21, 2025 (11:59 PM).
The last date for fee payment has been fixed as May 21, 2025, while candidates will get time from May 22 to May 31, 2025 to correct the error in the form.
Eligibility Criteria : - To apply for this recruitment, the age of the candidate should be between 18 to 30 years. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per the rules of the government. Under the educational qualification, candidates must have Matriculation / SSLC along with ITI or 3-year diploma in relevant trade from a recognized institute.
Selection Process : - Selection for the ALP post will be done in four stages. In the first stage, there will be CBT-1 exam, in which 75 questions will be asked in 60 minutes and there will be 1/3 negative marking. After this, there will be CBT-2 exam, in which 175 questions will have to be solved in 2 hours 30 minutes, in this too there will be 1/3 negative marking. Candidates successful in CBT-2 will have to give Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), in which there is no negative marking. Finally there will be document verification and medical tests.
How much will be the application fee : - In this recruitment process, the application fee for General, OBC and EWS category is Rs 500, while for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Women, Transgender, EBC and Ex-Servicemen, the fee has been fixed at Rs 250. The special thing is that if a candidate appears in the CBT-1 examination, then the amount of Rs 250 will be refunded to him.
How to apply : - First of all go to the official website of RRB (www.rrbcdg.gov.in).
Go to the website and click on "New Registration" and register by filling the required information.
After registration, fill all the required information in the application form such as educational qualification, personal information, etc.
Upload your passport size photo and signature, as directed on the website.
Use credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI for payment.
Now submit the application form and take a print out of it.
